Friends of a Free, Stable and Democratic Syria Caucus
The Friends of a Free, Stable and Democratic Syria Caucus is the first congressional caucus to support a free Syria and currently has 50 bipartisan members. Caucus co-chairs Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) established the caucus in the 115th Congress, which had 52 members at its peak. The caucus is a forum where Members of Congress can learn about the conflict in Syria, discuss policy ideas with experts, and ultimately join together to advance efforts to bring justice and accountability to the Syrian people.
Americans for a Free Syria (AFS) has played a key role in promoting and supporting the caucus since its inception. AFS has served as the top resource for educating caucus members about the situation on the ground in Syria.
